Designers & builders of bespoke treehouses and woodland cabins
Cabins on stilts
Our all-terrain cabins have the ability to adapt to virtually any ground. These woodland buildings are based on a timber frame construction and a steep natural site is where structural timber framing comes into its own - easily adapting to the landscape, sitting lightly on the land with minimal foundations and hence minimal environmental impact. If elevated, the space below can maintain a wild habitat while enabling the inhabitants to be fully immersed in the landscape and tree canopy.
Bespoke Treehouses Devon
We design & build bespoke treehouses for woodland settings and steep sloping sites. The HUTI team has a strong background in building complex timber structures across the UK in some very remote and challenging terrain.
Treehouses create some of the most dramatic, inspiring and evocative spaces. Tree house projects are an incredible challenge of structural engineering and offer immense scope for playful creativity and freedom of design.
For many of us treehouses have immensely personal relevance, often tapping into childhood experience, but in recent years they have moved well beyond the realms of salvaged wood and have been elevated into being a form of architecture in their own right. For us, we feel its important to maintain the essence of these beautiful buildings and ensure they sit easily and respectfully in their landscape.
Commercial treehouses
We offer a tailored service for businesses looking to build bespoke treehouses - from site visits and feasibility through concept design & engineering, with the potential to take you through planning if required. Our team can build and install anywhere in the UK. If you are a glamping site or have land and are interested in exploring diversification then give us a call.
Promoting biodiversity
We favour a minimal approach to foundations where possible, with options on no-dig foundations using heli-piles or groundscrews. This avoids damage to tree roots, protects the natural landscape and ensures quick recovery of the surrounding habitats.
