Oak-Framed Extension, near Bantham

A pegged green Oak frame forms the main structure for this beautiful sun-filled kitchen near Bantham in Devon. An addition to an existing low-ceilinged stone cottage, the Oak-framed extension completely transformed the property and its sense of space. At one end, doors open out into the garden while along the main elevation the oak frame is simply glazed full height. The ceiling remains uncluttered, with two banks of rooflights letting the light flood in.
